- One of IBM’s 15 inaugural DB2 Data Champions.
- Author of numerous articles published in IBM Database Magazine (www.ibmdatabasemagazine.com – formerly DB2 Magazine), including each issue’s “Data Architect” column.
- Former President of the International DB2 Users Group (IDUG), and a member of the IDUG Speakers Hall of Fame.
- Director of Strategic Technology at CheckFree Corporation (now a part of Fiserv), responsible for database technology strategy and planning, working with multiple DBMSs on a variety of server platforms.
- Senior Consulting DB2 Specialist on the DB2 for z/OS National Technical Support team at IBM’s Dallas Systems Center, providing DB2-related consulting and training services to organizations throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.
- Began IT career with IBM in 1982.
- Launched Catterall Consulting in 2007.
- Bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Rice University, MBA from Southern Methodist University.
